Virgin Island Ski Rentals is a full service ski and snowboard rental shop located in Silverthorne, Colorado on the way to all of the best ski resorts in Summit County!  Our shop is located just minutes off of I-70 in Silverthorne, close to Keystone, Arapahoe Basin, Loveland Ski Area, Copper Mountain, Breckenridge and on the way to Vail and Beaver Creek.

We are the same guys who started the shop 35 years ago – you can find us there ready to match you with the best equipment.  We have personally handpicked, hired and trained our staff every year to follow the mission of our shop which is to provide the best trained staff and the best quality equipment.

Trail Info

Keystone Resort

Keystone Resort consists of three interconnected mountains; Dercum Mountain, North Peak, and The Outback. Each of these mountains offers a variety of terrain with trails for all ability levels. Dercum Mountain features long green and blue runs and perfect groomers to keep you cruising all day. North Peak is the place for intermediate and expert skiers and riders that love long trails full of bumps. The Outback has some of Colorado’s best tree skiing in the North and South Bowls. Keystone provides one of Colorado’s longest ski days by offering night skiing.

Copper Mountain Resort

Copper Mountain is a unique resort that has something for everyone. The terrain is naturally divided into beginner, intermediate, and expert areas.  The areas are located on different parts of the mountain and each is generally served by its own lifts. The result is that beginners aren’t intimidated by fast-moving experts and advanced skiers aren’t held up by slower beginners.  Experts love the deep powder stashes on the mountain’s wide open back bowl area.

Breckenridge Resort

Breckenridge is one of Colorado’s most visited ski towns, located approximately 100 miles west of the Denver International Airport and 80 miles west of downtown Denver.  Skiers and riders of all skill levels have five peaks and 2,908 acres of skiable terrain to explore. Breckenridge is home to four award-winning terrain parks and a 22-foot superpipe.

Q What are your hours?

We stay open late so that you can pick up or drop off your
equipment whenever it is most convenient for you. Our shop
is open from 7:30am – 9pm.

Q What are your deposit and refund policies?

A $10 deposit per person is required for each reservation. Deposits are completely refundable if reservation is cancelled at least 48 hours in advance. Deposits will be applied to your final bill.

Q Do you offer exchanges on equipment?

If you’re not happy with your equipment, we’re not happy.
If that snowboard isn’t doing it for you, come back in and
we’ll find you a better fit. If Summit County or Base Mountain
Sports just had an epic storm, come back in and try out a big
powder ski.
