The Loveland Ski Area is the combination of two separate areas – Loveland Basin and Loveland Valley. It is one of Colorado’s highest ski areas with a summit of 13,010 feet with lift service offered to 12,700 feet. Due to Loveland’s altitude it is also one of Colorado’s first ski areas to open for the season and one of the last to close. Rivaled only by nearby Arapahoe Basin which can see skiing into July. Loveland Basin is the larger of the two areas that compose Loveland Ski Area while Loveland Valley is geared toward beginners.

Sport packages are primarily for groomed runs and intended for more beginner level skiers or snowboarders.
