Join us for a Jackson Hole rafting adventure on the most scenic and historic stretches of the Snake River. Sit back and relax as our experienced guides deliver a fun and interpretive trip through the Old West.  Relish in memories of Teton lore and wildlife encounters that will last a lifetime.  With the passing sounds of the Snake River’s waters, we share memories and wild tales of Native Americans, mountain men and pioneers of Jackson Hole. 

The Snake River is a bird and wildlife watcher’s paradise.  Bald and Golden Eagles are easily spotted and wildlife is abundant on the river. The serene, yet powerful Snake River winds timelessly through the history of Jackson Hole. Beneath the geologic grandeur of the Grand Teton and the glacier-carved canyons, this river ecosystem is home to herds of elk, mule deer, and moose.

Grand Teton Float Trip

Q What is your cancellation policy?

We require at least 48 hours notice for cancellations of activities. We will work with you to reschedule to a new date or if you need to cancel entirely we will provide a full refund within 48 hours notice. If you cancel inside of 48 hours or do not show up, you will not be refunded.

Q When do we pay?

Full payment is required at the time of booking your adventure with Dornan's Scenic Float Trips. We will contact you directly for payment after you submit your booking request.

Q What type of float is it, and what rafts do you use?

All of our trips are on calm sections of the Snake River, we do not provide whitewater rafting trips.
Our current scenic rafts are bucket boats which means that the clients feet will stay dry during the float.
These rafts are large and stable, as well as some of the largest boats on the river.
All guides are First Aid, CPR, and Swift-water rescue certified.
If we must, a trip may be cancelled if the weather would put our guests in potential danger.

Q Where do we meet?

Grand Teton Float Trips meet at our Moose location 12170 Dornan Rd., Moose, WY 83012

Wilson Bridge to South Park Bridge trips meet at our town location at 185 N. Center St., Jackson, WY 83001.

Please arrive 1/2 hour before the scheduled departure. Please call the shop 307.733.3699 if you are unsure which trip you are booked on.

Q What type of wildlife do you see?

Make sure to keep your eyes open for the abundant Jackson Hole wildlife! These animals frequent riverbanks, woods, and high in the trees. If you look closely you could see: American Bison, Elk, Mule Deer, Moose, Black Bear, North American River Otter, Grizzly Bear, American Beaver, Peregrin Falcon, Bald Eagle, Trumpeter Swans, Great Grey Owl, Osprey, Hummingbird, Coyote, and more!
